page Mounted Skill at Arms in Sussex Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, provides the backdrop to England's largest three day celebration of the Middle Ages! It's been held annually over the August Bank Holiday Weekend since 1992. For a number of years the festival has included a 3-day mounted skill at arms competition/demonstration with several DCS riders taking part. So, if you enjoy watching the sport of skill at arms at the Festival at Herstmonceux and would like to learn how to take part in this ancient sport you can do so at Ditchling Common Stud - either as part of a Group on Sundays or by means of private tuition. It is recommended that you take out your own personal accident insurance. We have taken every precaution we can to minimise the associated risks however, horses remain unpredictable animals so please take care and accept that accidents do happen! DCS Horse Riding Tuition: Terms & Conditions Horse Riding Lessons should be paid for in advance. Horse Riding Lessons cancelled less than 4 days before the appointed time will be charged at the full rate. Clients who fail to arrive for their horse riding lesson will also be charged at the full rate. Clients who wish to hold regular booking slots will be expected to use them at least 11 times in every 13 week period. ** Email cancellations will not be accepted - any cancellation must be made verbally, with the office.** |
