SATURDAY 4th October
CLASS 1                Individual Pegging, Lance
CLASS 2                ½ Section, Lance
CLASS 3                2 Rings & Peg, Lance
CLASS 4                Skill-at-Arms
Classes judged according to British Tentpegging Association Rules except Class 4 which will be International Rules

SUNDAY 5th October
CLASS 1                Individual Pegging, Sword
CLASS 2                ½ Section, Sword
CLASS 3                2 Rings & Peg, Sword
CLASS 4                2 Oranges & Peg
CLASS 5                Skill-at-Arms
Classes 1-3 judged according to British Tentpegging Association Rules. Class 4 judged according to International Rules. Class 5 to be judged under DCS SLR rules.

Rosettes will be presented to the winner of each class.
Rosettes to third place. Rosettes for best novice competitors.
Overall 2-day winner will win Master at Arms award. First come, first served basis. Limited to 20 competitors per class

Mounted Skill at Arms in Sussex

Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, provides the back drop to England's largest three day celebration of the Middle Ages! It's been held annually over the August Bank Holiday Weekend since 1992. The 2005 festival included a mounted skill at arms exhibition and tournament with several DCS riders taking part. So in 2006, as well as watching the skill at arms festival at Herstmonceux, you can also learn to perform this ancient sport on one of Ditchling Common Stud's skill at arms courses.

Horse riding is a high risk sport. It is recommended that you take out your own personal accident insurance. We have taken every precaution we can to minimise the associated risks however, horses remain unpredictable animals so please take care and accept that accidents do happen!

DCS Horse Riding Tuition: Terms & Conditions

Horse Riding Lessons should be paid for in advance. Horse Riding Lessons cancelled less than 4 days before the appointed time will be charged at the full rate. Clients who fail to arrive for their horse riding lesson will also be charged at the full rate. Clients who wish to hold regular booking slots will be expected to use them at least 11 times in every 13 week period.

** Email cancellations will not be accepted - any cancellation must be made verbally, with the office.**
